Every Downtown Works network denies traffic until the device is verified and authorized. This means that you, as the user, must always enter in some sort of credentials whether it be a username/password, a voucher code, or an SMS code.
In the chance that the splash page (or success page) does NOT automatically popup once connected to the network, please follow the very simple instructions below.
Please note, you must disable all VPN connections prior to connecting to our network. Once connected or authenticated, you may resume your connection. Additionally, if your device is a company owned or company locked device, you may need to reach out to your IT department if the splash page popup does not show up after following the instructions below.
- Connect to your corresponding network
- Open your Internet browser of choice (ours is Google Chrome)
- In the URL box enter in (or copy/paste) the following destination address that corresponds to your network.
- Downtown Works HQ
- 172.16.4.1 or https://downtown.works/memberwifi
- Downtown Works Meeting Rooms, Guest
- 172.16.5.1 or https://downtown.works/guestwifi
- Downtown Works HQ
For Windows Devices Only: you can go to this URL to force a splash page http://msftconnecttest.com/redirect
For Apple Devices Only: you can go to this URL to force a splash page http://captive.apple.com/hotspot-detect.html
Doing this will send you directly to our routers authentication server where you will be able to enter in your corresponding credentials.
