Downtown Works is not a registered agent for any member business, regardless of whether you use our address on business filings, your website, or other communications.
What We Don't Accept
We do not accept, sign for, or forward the following, even if delivered to our front desk:
Service of process
Subpoenas
Court filings or lawsuits
Legal notices or certified legal communications
Any such documents left at our location will not be delivered and may be discarded or returned to sender. Our staff isn't authorized to accept legal materials on your behalf.
If You Need to Be Served, or Need to Serve Someone
If you're trying to serve legal papers on a company, you'll need to contact them directly or use the appropriate legal channels — Downtown Works can't facilitate this.
Your Mailbox Only Covers Standard Mail
Our mail handling service covers standard mail and packages (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.). It does not extend to legal or time-sensitive documents delivered outside normal mail channels.
