Recycling
Non-sensitive mail and documents β anything without personal or confidential information β can go in our recycling bins for standard recycling.
Shredding
Documents containing sensitive or confidential information should be shredded, not recycled. Shredding permanently destroys the document and protects against misuse of personal data, business records, or financial information β and may help meet compliance requirements in regulated industries.
How to Use Shredding
Find the designated shredding bins on-site (clearly marked).
Place sensitive documents inside.
If you're managing mail through your virtual mailbox, you can also submit a shred request directly β see Submitting Action Requests. Shredding requests beyond your plan's included allowance may carry a fee β see Are There Additional Charges?.
Not Sure Which to Use?
When in doubt, shred β recycling doesn't guarantee destruction of the information on a document. Contact your Community Team if you need help locating shredding facilities or have questions about a specific item.
